Submission guidelines
Read these guidelines in full before submitting. Manuscripts that do not meet them are liable to be rejected at the desk stage without review.
1. Categories accepted
IJLGMR publishes one category of work: full-length research papers and long articles. Short articles, notes, case comments, and book reviews are not accepted.

2. Abstract and keywords
Every submission must carry an abstract of 250 to 300 words, followed by five to seven keywords. Submissions without an abstract in this range will not proceed to review.
3. Authorship
A maximum of two co-authors is permitted per submission. All named authors must have made a substantive contribution to the work and must be identified at the time of submission. Authors may not be added or removed after acceptance without the written agreement of all parties and the approval of the Editor-in-Chief.
4. Citation style
All submissions must follow the Bluebook, 21st edition, uniformly throughout. This applies to every manuscript regardless of the discipline it is written from — a paper submitted from economics or political science is expected to conform to the same citation standard as one submitted from law. Consistent citation across the Journal is a condition of publication, not a preference.
5. Formatting
A downloadable formatting template specifying font, spacing, and margins is being prepared and will be published on this page before submissions close for Volume 1. Until it is available, authors should submit in a standard serif typeface, double-spaced, with footnotes rather than endnotes.
6. Declaration of originality
Every submission must be accompanied by a signed originality and declaration form, confirming that the work is original, is not under consideration elsewhere, and has not been previously published. Submissions received without this signed declaration will not be processed.
7. How to submit
Manuscripts are submitted by email to the Managing Editor, with the manuscript, the signed declaration form, and author details attached. An online submission portal will follow in a later volume; for Volume 1, email is the sole channel.
8. Submission fee
₹1,200Per submission — identical for every author, with no distinction between student, professional, or international submissions.
The fee is a submission processing charge and is payable at the point of submission. Payment of the fee does not guarantee acceptance, and the fee is not refunded on rejection. What the fee funds is set out in the revenue and fee policy.
9. What happens next
Desk screening
The Managing Editor screens every submission on receipt for scope, word count, and standard of written English. Submissions failing any of these are desk-rejected without review.
Similarity check
Manuscripts passing desk screening are run through Turnitin. A similarity score above 10% is returned to the author, who is permitted one opportunity to revise and resubmit.
Review
The manuscript is assigned to three reviewers under the Journal's open review model.
Decision
A decision is communicated to the author within one to two weeks of submission.
Publication
Accepted articles appear in the next scheduled quarterly issue, freely accessible, with a certificate of publication issued to the author.
